Danse Macabre
This is an overview of my favorite pieces of the series.
For those who've known me for some time, it's not a secret that I've always been finding certain inspiration and interest in all things dark, mysterious and outright horrific! I used to depict these themes mostly in personal art, but then, upon noticing how much attention the nightmarish Cerber-like creatures received (see the sketch), I thought to myself "hmmmm, why not spread the influence and disturb some volunteers!"
And so in mid-2014 "Nightmare fuel" (currently "Danse Macabre") came to life as a part of my general macabre and horror branch of art. The main goal of these projects was to turn offered characters into something utterly creepy and, probably, even repulsive

All of these pieces are fully traditional. Done in copic markers and a bit pencils/ colour pencils on A4 white or toned paper.

An ancestor of the series
An "ancestor of an ancestor" of the series: fantasy on the subject of nightmarized mythological creatures. A concept of dybbuk-bullterier from "The Unborn" became a great part of my inspiration for this work.
